New Jersey Abolishes The Death Penalty
The New Jersey Senate voted 21-16 on Monday to abolish the death penalty and replace it with life in prison without parole.
New Jersey hasn’t actually executed anyone since it first instated its death penalty, which cost the NJ taxpayers $250 Million since 1982 and it’s been revealed that the death penalty is actually far more expensive than a life sentence without parole. No real surprise there.
