Heathrow To Get A Makeover
Even though it’s one of the busiest airports in the world, Heathrow in London looks rather “outdated” and boring. Before I actually been there, I thought Heathrow would be everything that’s “typical” British, with the glorious Union Jack flag, black cabs cruising around the complex and red phone boxes.
Once you arrived at Heathrow though, the fantasy bubble bursts, instead of something classy, british, you find that the airport is gritty, uninviting, full of cultural mish-mash and smelly in parts.
However, in 2008 things should change according to MsnBC; the airport will undergo a four year revamp to make it more appealing to travellers. I can’t wait to see what they are going to do with it… hopefully they’ll also adapt the free Internet access terminals lots of other airports around the world already have.
