Christmas Gifts

Christmas is almost here, sales are steadily speeding up and despite the credit crunch, most people seem more determined than ever to have a wonderful Christmas with plenty of gifts. Especially for children.

One great place for children’s toys is MegaBrands.com. Even though my wishlist doesn’t contain any kiddy toys, their site is more than impressive.

From marvel magic to mega wagon, from 0-6 years plus… they offer a big variety of cute, funny, amazing and exciting toys to play with this Christmas.

My little sister would love their toy collection, especially the High School Musical stuff.

Check out their shop and see if you can find that special toy for your kid. Judging by the big amount of stock, this won’t be too difficult. Plenty of choice there at competitive prices!

Elephants just love to rock!

Elephants are beautiful animals. However, most people would be rather hesitant to come anywhere near one.

After all, they are BIG and could quite easily crush a human being in one step.

Should you ever come across an angry elephant, make sure you have a stereo blaster and heavy metal music handy!

According to a Daily Mail’s article, some zookeepers play music to the exotic animals during their feeding and bathing to calm them down.

The calls of Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Metallica and Def Leopard instantly calm three elephants at the safari park.

And when the rock anthems are turned off, the stroppy teenagers – Jack, 16, Lataba, 16, and Five, 17 – throw tantrums and start pacing up and down.

Keeper Bob Lawrence said: ‘We always played music to the elephants for around ten years, but they are really calmed by the heavy rock tones.

‘I wouldn’t change the music over now because the elephants love it so much.

‘It’s just such a good distraction for them and a good way to keep them calm.

A previous study earlier this month at Belfast zoo found that elephants were calmed by the sounds of Classical composers.

Not Lovin’ It: McDonald’s staff posts nude pics of customers wife online

Ever peeked at someone’s mobile phone pics? It seems like the staff of a McDonald’s restaurant in Fayetteville, Arkansas even went a step further when they posted nude pictures of a customer’s wife on the Internet.

It appears that Phillip Sherman left his mobile phone at the restaurant and the employees promised to secure it until he returned.

They then allegedly went ahead and "secured" also the phone’s pictures which included nude photos of Mrs. Sherman.

Next to the photos of Mrs Sherman, the McDonald’s staff are accused of posting the chain’s slogans, including ‘I’m Loving It’. Details of the couple’s address and telephone numbers were also published, according to The Independent.

The couple allege that following the visit to the restaurant on July 5, they were plagued by nuisance calls which forced them to move home.

Mr. Sherman is now suing the McDonald’s Corp for $3 million in damages for suffering.

Google’s Chrome

Got the new Google browser yet? Chrome has been available for download since yesterday and I had to try it right away.

The first thing that springs to mind with this browser is the simplicity. It feels more like a Firefox addon than an actual browser. Google has clearly set it’s emphasis on clean and lightweight.

Whether or not it actually is going to be a success remains to be seen. I don’t think it will actually be a Firefox competitor anytime soon but if Google put as much effort into Chrome as with GMail, I see a winner.
